  • What is the success of transplanted trees?

  • Best Tree Moving has over a 95% success rate of trees moved. This is possible by using the correct size and method of equipment. Pre and Post transplanting care are also just as important to tree success.

  • When is the best time of year to move trees?

  • Trees are best moved while they are dormant. For most trees this is during the spring and fall season. Trees may be moved successfully out of season however this usually requires oversized equipment for the tree and is less economical.

  • How do I measure the trunk diameter?

  • Measure the of the trunk about 6-12 inches above the ground. You can use a tape measure to measuring the circumference around the trunk and dividing this by 3.14

  • What type of after care do transplanted trees require?

  • Most trees should be watered once a week during the warmer seasons     and  at least once a month during the winter. A permanent irrigation system is preferred. With either meathod it is important to continually evaluate the moisture level of the root zone

  • Most trees will require guy wires to protect the trees from high winds for the first year or two. 

  • Trees are a valuable investment and should be sprayed for bugs if that is a concern in your area.
